    Editors-in-Chief

    You-Jin Jeon is a Professor in the Faculty of Marine Biomedical Science at Jeju National University in Korea. He has received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Pukyong National University and conducted his postdoctoral research studies at Department of Biochemistry, Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada and at Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science, University of Alberta in Canada. Prof. Jeon served as the director of Marine and Environmental Research Institute in Jeju National University, and currently a Technical Director of Aqua Green Tech Co. Ltd. and a member of the Korean Academy of Science and Technololgy. His main research interests include marine biomass to develop functional food materials for human and marine animals, biomedical materials and marine cosmeceutical materials. He has published more than 300 international manuscripts and has registered about 40 patents regarding those research areas.

    Jung Hwa Choi is a Senior Scientist in Jeju Fisheries Research Institute at National Institute of Fisheries Science in Korea. He has received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Pukyong National University and conducted his postdoctoral research studies at Pacific Biological Station in Canada. Dr. Choi served as internship program of North Pacific Marine Science Organization in Canada, and as program manager of KOICA ODA program for Algerian fisheries development. Currently he served as editor of Ocean Science Journal. His main research interests include fisheries resource survey, fish population dynamics and fisheries management in Korean marine ecosystem. He has published more than 200 domestic and international manuscripts and has registered about several patents regarding those research areas.

    Han Kyu Lim is a Professor in the Marine and Fisheries Resources Department at Mokpo National University in Korea. He has received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Pukyong National University and conducted his postdoctoral research studies at School of Aquaculture, University of Tasmania in Australia. He had worked at the National Institute of Fisheries Science for 13 years. Prof. Lim served as the director of Smart aquafarm Convergence Research center in Mokpo National University, and currently a member of the World Aquaculture Society, the Malacological Society of Korea, the Korean Society of Developmental Biology, the Korean Society of Fisheries and Aquatic Science. His main research interests include endocrinology, reproductive physiology and cryopreservation for marine animals. He has published more than 100 manuscripts and has registered about 10 patents regarding those research areas.

    Suengmok Cho is a professor in the Faculty of Food Science and Technology at Pukyong National University in Korea. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Pukyong National University, and received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Applied Biological Chemistry at The University of Tokyo in Japan. He worked as a principal research scientist at Korea Food Research Institute (2006-2018). His major research area includes seafood processing technology, development of functional foods from marine resources and neuropharmacological effects of foods and natural products. He has published more than 80 research articles and registered 50 patents. For the first time, the functional food with sleep-promoting effects developed by him was approved by KFDA.
